Healing Mind, Body and Spirit is the foundation and core philosophy of the Tree of Life Clinic. When you meditate you become more aware of the sensations in your body. This is very important as it helps you to reconnect with your body, listen to its needs and heal it. 

 

Mindfulness is “the intentional, accepting and non-judgmental focus of one’s attention on the emotions, thoughts and sensations occurring in the present moment”, which can be trained by meditation practices derived from Buddhist anapanasati. It has been popularized in the west by the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn.

 

Mindfulness meditation teaches us how to challenge destructive and negative thoughts and develop feelings of self-compassion.
